About us

Rackla Metals is a Vancouver-based exploration company focused on uncovering new mineral discoveries across the western Northwest Territories and eastern Yukon. Our team is led by seasoned northern explorers, bringing decades of field experience to every project. Founder Simon Ridgway began his career in the Yukon in the early 1980s and has since guided exploration teams to multiple gold and silver discoveries throughout the Americas. His track record continues to shape Rackla’s commitment to high-quality, discovery-driven exploration.
Today, Rackla’s work is centered on the eastern margins of the Selwyn Basin—an area where Cretaceous age, alkalic plutons of the Tombstone Tungsten Belt cut through deep water sedimentary rocks. This geologically rich belt hosts Reduced Intrusive Related Gold Systems (RIRGS), world-class, high-grade tungsten skarn deposits, and significant Sedex-style base-metal systems, making it one of the most promising mineral regions in northern Canada.
In the summer of 2025, Rackla expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the Lened property. Lened contains at least three Tungsten Suite alkalic intrusions and fifteen known tungsten skarn occurrences along their margins. Despite its strong geological potential, the property has not seen meaningful tungsten exploration since the early 1980s—offering Rackla a rare opportunity to revisit a highly prospective district with fresh eyes, modern tools, and a renewed focus on discovery.
